Direct answer
Custom event apparel is clothing or wearable merchandise branded for participants, staff, volunteers, teams, supporters or promotional campaigns. The six core guides cover event T-shirts, polos, hoodies and sweatshirts, sports jerseys, fan scarves, and event caps and hats. The right choice depends on the wearer, event role, artwork, quantity, size requirements and wider project.
Start with the wearer
One event can have several apparel briefs. Choose by role first; these are useful directions, not mandatory uniforms or fixed bundles.

One event, multiple roles
Not necessarily. Apparel can look coordinated while differing by role. Keep the logo, colors and event artwork connected, then distinguish each group through its garment choice or role identification.
Event applications
A single visual identity can move between participant, staff, team and supporter garments without making every group wear the same thing.
Participants may use an event T-shirt or appropriate sports jersey; staff a polo or T-shirt; volunteers a T-shirt or cap; supporters a shirt, scarf or cap. Adapt one event identity across the roles.

Scarves, caps, T-shirts and selected fan merchandise can carry a coordinated identity for sports events, clubs, supporter campaigns and event merchandise. Use your own authorized artwork; no real team partnership or logo is implied.
Plan Fan GearBranding architecture
XZD Branding can review custom event apparel as a project system: master event artwork informs runner, staff, volunteer and fan versions, with graphics adapted to each garment and role.
Placement
Conceptual areas include front chest, full front, back, sleeve or side panel where applicable, plus cap front or scarf surface. Placement depends on garment type, construction, artwork, branding method and project requirements.
Review the Artwork GuideSponsor hierarchy
For marathons, sports and sponsored events, organize the event brand first, followed by primary and supporting sponsors and any role or participant information. Artwork may need simplification for a smaller garment area; exact reproduction is reviewed for the selected method.
Specifications, not assumptions
Start with the garment or fan-item type, brand or team colors, logo, event artwork, size breakdown and any names or numbers that require evaluation. Exact branding methods and usable areas are confirmed only for the selected product.
Garment brief
Tell us the event type, wearer role, indoor or outdoor use, preferred garment style, artwork, size range, quantity and event date. Those inputs guide the suitable apparel and customization review without assuming a fabric composition or performance rating.
Bulk apparel planning
A total quantity alone does not define an apparel order. Break it down by confirmed available size, wearer role and apparel configuration, using the selected garment’s verified sizing rather than an assumed universal chart.
Provide total quantity, the requested size range, quantities per size and any separate role allocations where possible.
Variable identification
Team numbers, participant names or labels such as STAFF, VOLUNTEER and EVENT CREW can be evaluated where appropriate. Include the variable information, quantities and preferred placement in your RFQ. Availability depends on the selected garment and method.
Artwork guide
Send the visual assets for each role and indicate how the event identity should carry across garments. AI, EPS, SVG and PDF vector files are useful; PNG and reference designs can also explain intent.
Choose Artwork for My ProjectReview the full Artwork GuideLogo, event name, vector artwork and brand colors or Pantone references.
Supply sponsor logos, hierarchy and campaign graphics where relevant.
Note front, back and possible sleeve artwork for each garment.
List names, numbers, role labels and reference designs if applicable.
Artwork may need adapting to different garment sizes and printing areas. A reference file is not automatically production-ready.
Cross-category planning
The garment can be one part of a larger branded handout or event presentation. Keep the artwork, recipient and timing connected across product categories.
Event apparel + custom bag + medal + cooling towel + bottle + promotional item. The participant event shirt can carry the same event identity as the bag and other race-pack pieces.
Staff apparel + trade show display + table cover + custom bag + promotional products. Coordinate team presentation with the booth and visitor takeaway.
Event apparel set builder
Choose a conceptual starting set, add it to your event project and refine wearer roles, sizes, artwork and quantities in the RFQ. No fixed package or price is implied.
Configurable starting points only. Confirm the actual garments, sizes, artwork, quantities and related products in your RFQ.
Project-led sourcing
Tell us the wearer, event, quantity, branding direction and intended use. XZD can evaluate suitable apparel or fan-gear options for the project without claiming unlimited product availability.
